Types of speeches
- Informative: The main objective of this type of speech is to provide information about a topic. You can see it mostly in schools when teachers or classmates explain something new.
- Persuasive: It focuses on influencing the audience to believe in what you are saying. Its purposes are to change one's ideas as well as to reinforce one's ideas or believes.
- Ceremonial: In this speech the speaker is allowed to share their feelings in order to thank, welcome, say goodbye, etc to a person or even a group of people.
- Extemporaneous: In this speech, the speaker has to develop a topic or just to answer a question without special advance preparation.
